French Video Translation Specialist
We are looking to hire a French Video Translation Specialist to join us in our mission to educate the world. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating the English scientific videos of Nagwa's content to French.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and translating English scientific videos into French
- Using Nagwa's video production tools to translate video visuals
- Reviewing final translated videos and making sure the French versions are complete and accurate and meet Nagwa's requirements
- Reviewing and editing translations, ensuring they are consistent with the English originals and appropriate for the intended audience
- Ensuring adherence to Nagwa's in-house style guide and glossaries
- Consulting with subject matter experts to understand technical concepts and translating them appropriately
- Suggesting improvements where possible to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high quality of translated material
- Proofreading translated materials for spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, usage, and consistency issues
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Native level of French
- Strong English
- Scientific background preferable
- Excellent writing skills in both French and English
- Excellent handwriting skills in French
