Company Physician

Egypt Full time Administration In-office

We are looking to hire a Company Physician to join us in our mission to educate the world. The successful candidate shall be responsible for providing high-quality medical care by examining patients, evaluating their symptoms, and treating diseases, conducting routine check-ups for patients to assess their health conditions and discover possible issues, and undertaking tasks that aim at promoting healthy habits and taking preventative actions to maintain the overall health of employees at Nagwa.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting routine checkups for sick employees to assess their health conditions and discover possible issues
  • Giving appropriate advice to maintain healthy habits (diet, hygiene, etc.) and take preventative actions to promote the employees’ overall health
  • Examining sick employees and evaluating symptoms to determine their condition
  • Asking intuitive questions to discover the causes of illness
  • Reaching a diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient’s medical history
  • Prescribing and interpreting lab tests to obtain more information for underlying infections or abnormalities
  • Prescribing medications or drugs and providing comprehensive instructions for the administration
  • Examining and providing treatments for injuries and referring employees to other external physicians when needed (ophthalmologists, orthopedists, neurologists, etc.)
  • Keeping records of sick employees’ diseases, operations, or other significant information (e.g., allergic episodes)
  • Cultivating a climate of trust and compassion for sick employees
  • Providing training sessions for staff members on health concerns, habits, and enforcing healthy activities
  • Supporting in assessing occupational health needs of the company
  • Optional: Assisting in conducting preventive and control activities in the workplace through surveillance of working environment (workplace visit,  exposure assessments), by informing employers and employees about health hazards and risks arising from work

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Doctor holding a bachelor’s degree of medicine (BM) and has a valid license to practice the profession
  • 3+ years of experience as a physician/general practitioner
  • Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
  • Excellent knowledge of infectious diseases, their symptoms, and epidemiology
  • Broad knowledge of common medications, side effects, and contraindications
  • In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and the best practices in medicine
  • Good command of the English language
  • Good command in Microsoft Office
