Arabic Scientific Review Team Leader

We are looking to hire an Arabic Scientific Review Team Leader to join us in our mission to educate the world. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the teams scientific review of Arabic translation and ensuring high quality and accuracy of text pedagogically and scientifically.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day tasks of the scientific review process of Arabic translated materials to provide direct and close supervision to team members
  • Guiding the team members and ensuring standard operation procedures are followed
  • Implementing continuous improvement activities to the Arabic scientific review process to ensure constant optimization of the workflow
  • Supporting team members in case of any issues regarding the tools, system, files, or any unusual case they are working on to ensure a smooth workflow
  • Constructing glossaries for each subject and ensuring up-to-datedness
  • Ensuring adherence to Nagwa's in-house style guide and glossaries
  • Ensuring the pedagogical level of the Arabic translated content is suitable for the target audience
  • Monitoring the performance and quality of the teams work
  • Coordinating and aligning with other teams on technical aspects to assure consistency and smooth operations
  • Raising to the content development team any cases involving inconsistency or inaccuracy in the English materials before proceeding to translation
  • Coaching team members and nurturing them for opportunities of promotion
  • Reviewing the quality of work and updating published content if required

Qualifications & Work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in science or any relevant discipline
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic
  • Experience in dealing with educational technology
  • Good understanding of math, chemistry, physics, and biology terms and pedagogical methods
