Editor and Curator of Children's Literature

We are looking to hire a full time in-office Editor and Curator of Children Literature to join us in our mission to educate the world. In this role, you will curate, review, and edit our fiction and non-fiction Children Literature.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Curation of fiction from public domain
  • Curation of original non-fiction material
  • Finding and selecting public domain works for adaptation
  • Modernising texts
  • Adjusting according to feedback informed by text analysis and readability metrics
  • Reviewing and editing writers work
  • Working with illustrators and graphic designers

QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Experience editing original content for children
  • Familiarity with CEFR levels and grading methods
  • Experience curating content for libraries

COMPENSATION

The advertised role is full time (35 hours per week) at our UK office based in Windsor, Berkshire. The gross annual salary of £30,000-£36,000 and 28 days leave exclusive of bank holidays.
