Security Officer

Egypt Full time Administration In-office

We are looking to hire a Security Officer to join us in our mission to educate the world. The successful candidate shall be responsible for managing and leading our security contractors and ensuring the safety and security of Nagwa's employees, buildings, assets, visitors, and inventory by complying with safe work procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all the activities related to our security contractors and serving as a point of contact for them to ensure that they are operating as agreed and are complying with our service-level agreement
  • Reporting any security events and dealing with emergency situations, including initial alerts and evacuations, in accordance with site procedures
  • Protecting Nagwa's employees, premises, and assets by maintaining a safe and secured environment
  • Supervising shift handover procedures at the start and end of each shift to ensure that maximum security measures are followed and implemented by the contractors
  • Managing the security procedures for Nagwa’s visitors and responding effectively to any emergency
  • Supervising the CCTV operation and completing reports by recording observations, information, and occurrences to provide protection against threats and risks 
  • Following up randomly or regularly on Nagwa's buildings and their surroundings to maintain a safe work environment
  • Reporting irregularities, informing violators of our policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers to prevent losses and damage
  • Maintaining the lost and found procedure to ensure that lost, missing, or stolen items are returned to their rightful owners in a timely manner
  • Managing and maintaining the key management system in terms of storage, backup keys, maintaining a transaction log, and so on to prevent key loss or security breaches

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • 6+ years of experience as a security officer
  • Security trainings are a plus
  • Familiar with the Health and Safety Standards
